Modular wooden house

This Modular Wood House prototype was commissioned by a major Russian manufacturer specialized in laminated timber frame housing (НЛК Домостроение). The Company is mainly focused on residential projects, designed in a basic manner of a Russian Summer Cottage (Dacha).

We were asked to provide a new prototype concept in a modern and minimalist style. As basis for the concept we used the existing wood frame systems of laminated columns and beams as structural elements and organized them into modules. Each module generates a 25sqm surface which allows to shift and/or add new modules to obtain functional and flexible plan layouts suitable to various site conditions and project budgets.

The current Module and Modularity concept reveals our expertise in the application of sustainable design principles, where all procedures are optimized and controlled. Additionally, prefabrication of all elements in factory conditions and easy logistics ensure a quick and controlled building process of the projects.
